Associate Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Western Theological Seminary, Holland MI. He co-founded Newbigin House of Studies, a partnership between City Church San Francisco and Western Theological Seminary. He is a Senior Fellow with Newbigin House.
Chuck holds an MDiv and an MA in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando), and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Harold Abel School of Psychology, Capella University. He is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America and a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Chuck is a contributing writer for many academic and popular journals and magazines, and speaks often at conferences and retreats. He is author of the books Leaving Egypt: Finding God in Wilderness Places, The Toughest People to Love and the newly released Wholeheartedness.
He and his wife of 21 years have two teenage daughters.
